15 weeks of competition

LEAGUE FEES

$255 plus tax per player.
$90 prize fund
Season Total $359.03

  • A $90 prize pool fund is included in your fee, with all prizes paid out in golf shop credit (also valid for food and drinks). This pool includes weekly events and year-end payout, as well as the league cookout on August 15.
  • League fees include nine holes weekly with golf car.  Kestrel Ridge walking members are required to pay for the golf car portion of the fees as well as the prize fund portion.  Riding members are only required to pay for the prize fund portion.  BECOME A MEMBER AND SAVE!

    Eligibility and Handicaps

Each member of your team should average a nine-hole score of 52 or less – or be able to complete nine holes of golf, in a foursome, in under 2 hours and 15 minutes. Handicaps will be established after week 2 and will be used ‘retroactively’ for the rounds that did not have a handicap established.  A WSGA/USGA handicap is NOT required.

90% of individual handicaps will be used each week in determining weekly handicaps.

The largest number of handicap strokes we will award any player is 18 for nine holes, regardless of handicap calculations.

    League Format

Each league night begins with a shotgun start at 5:30 pm. Men play from the white tees and ladies play from the green. The format for weeks 1 through 12 will be net better ball match play versus another team in your division.  Week 13-15 will be playoffs, with the year-end banquet on August 15.

The top four teams from each division in the season points standing will earn a spot to play for the league championship. These eight teams will participate in a best-ball format in weeks 13, 14 & 15. Substitutes are not allowed to play in weeks 13-15. Teams not qualifying for the playoffs will still play in a scramble format these weeks.

    NO SHOWS

If a team member is unable to show for a week’s scheduled match, the remaining player has two options:

    • Find a player with an average nine-hole score of less than 52.  This player must be reported to the Head Golf Professional or golf professional on duty prior to 11 a.m. of the scheduled league day.  If that player has a USGA Handicap (no other handicaps are allowable; including internet-based), it will be multiplied by .9 and then cut in half for nine-hole league use.  If the player does not have a handicap, he/she will play at scratch.  No exceptions.
    • Go without a partner and play your own ball for the nine holes.

It is your responsibility to make arrangements and have two players each week.  Teams that do not show up will be awarded zero points for that night and 1 point will be subtracted from their season total.

If a team drops out of the league after the league season has started, all teams will receive an automatic 6 points for that match regardless of whether they have already played that team or not.

We will attempt to alternate between play on the front and back nine, but please understand that this is not always possible.
